Through our hub in the School of Cinematic Arts, we connect students, staff and faculty from across USC to research, develop and deliver the immersive media of tomorrow.

The Ganek Immersive Studio is a state-of-the-art research and creative development studio within the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. We develop original content within the realms of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, XR, and Immersive Interactive Experiences.

What We Make

Production Formats

Format 01

180° Live-Action

Students train on stereoscopic camera systems and produce short immersive films using the Ganek Studio’s bespoke production and post-production workflow.

Format 02

Animated

Students develop non-interactive animated projects made in a variety of software such as Unreal Engine, Houdini, Blender, and more.

Format 03

Interactive / Real-Time

Students pull together larger teams and use cutting-edge real-time engines to ideate, iterate and create interactive experiences and immersive games.
